What a beautiful concept. Might be picking up a copy of your book.

"A place of honor to remind

the broken and the left behind

that we will yet emerge refined,

a treasure for the world to find"

So special.

Thank you! I would be so touched if you did :) It's designed to be a book of photography & poetry that you can return to again and again, enjoying the beautiful metaphor of sea glass for our lives 💕

I love sea glass. I have got to get your lovely book. I looked it up. It will be nice gifting during the Christmas holidays. My birthday last year my daughter that lives in Maryland gave me a beautiful picture and the little dogs in the picture were made with Seaglass and then the tree behind them has Seaglass fruit. It was quite lovely.

Thank you so much, I was really hoping it would make a nice holiday gift :) The sea glass artwork sounds so beautiful - a lot of artists in this area are inspired to include sea glass in their art, and I always enjoy seeing what they come up with! Thanks for sharing :)

Greetings from your neighbor in New Brunswick, Canada:)

I just did some beach glass karma yesterday (Throwing back pieces I had previously picked up that weren't quite "cooked" or purging from 30+ years of collecting) and today found some beautiful pieces.

I can't seem to add a picture, but it was gratifying:)

Your book looks beautiful.

Thank you, and nice to meet you! That's a great idea, we often throw back pieces at the shore when we decide they're too "fresh" 🤣, and I'll definitely remember that when it's time to reduce our collection one day. It's true, Substack doesn't let us load images into comments - but if you post them in Notes and tag me I'll see it :)

I'll try my best! Beach glass is as technical as I get and you know how long that takes...

Sea glass is so cool! It reminds me of the line from one of my favorite musicians, Sleeping At Last “I guess space and time takes angry things, violent things and makes them kind.”

The photos of the sea glass and the light-infused images made me feel a sense of lightness and peace. What an exquisite pairing of these visual treats and your poetry! Thank you for inviting me here so I can partake in moments by the seaside even though I'm no where near the ocean.

Thank you, I'm so glad you like them! I definitely try to capture the way the glass holds the sunshine inside, it's one of the most fascinating aspects of its particular beauty :)

Blue sea glass has become harder to find every passing years. You hit the jackpot!

PS: have you ever hunted for sea glass at Jasper Beach?

So true! We have a family rule "If you find a blue, it's ice cream for everyone!" We still find at least one blue nearly every trip to Sandy River Beach, Jonesport, though, so that's a treat. The very first time I went to Jasper Beach, I found a piece of sea glass right at the top of the dune - and then never again! 🤣 Have you found sea glass there?

I love sea glass. We find “Great Lakes” glass here on the shores from time to time. Congratulations on your book...going to take a peek at it now!
