Well done Sydney on figuring out the Carbon Monoxide Alarm mystery! Pretty amazing to be able to monitor the house from so far away, even if it does throw you a curve every now and then. Thanks for sharing the link to the audio. Quite similar in sound!
I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my mom a few months ago, too. She would feed Cardinals peanuts on her rear deck. When I see them, I think of her. Tufted Titmice are so wary! I hear them all the time, and they are always as high in the trees as they can be.
That’s so lovely, Thomas, thanks for sharing! They are, aren’t they?! Funny how the different types of birds each have their little personalities, and the Tufted Titmice are just like Nope.
I’m so glad you were accompanied so beautifully as you cared for your mom, and so grateful for the reminders that come to you now. I will be praying for you as you grieve her passing. 🙏💓
I’ve found there are often beautiful treasures sprinkled into and around what is hard and painful. I believe they are a gift from our loving God. One such treasure for our family came in caring for my husband’s mom, who had end stage dementia, in the hospital on what turned out to be her last trip. That morning we had requested a chaplain to be with us as we made the decision to follow her wishes to remove invasive care. Just before the chaplain arrived, a handsome young doctor walked into her room, gently took her hand and said, Good morning, Barbara, and asked her if she could tell him her name. She had been unable to recall her name for several years at that point. Much to our surprise, she opened her eyes and spoke her full name and birthdate. She spoke clearly and with a big smile on her face. Shortly after that she passed, but in that moment we were given a treasure we hold to this day.
Thanks Sydney for this charming story. I've been to Bastrop years ago. There is much that is beautiful about rural Texas; sadly, for a number of reasons I wouldn't live there.
Such cute birds! Thank you for sharing your experience with them :)
That's so funny, Sydney! What cuties they are close up.🥰
They sure are, Maria! Those crests are so expressive ❤️
So sweet! And what a friendly escape while in the throes of caring for your mom. 💛
Thank you, Kimberly! It really was, birds are often good for that (and they don’t even notice🤣)
I like any piece featuring a tufted titmouse, especially a heartwarming story. Thanks Sydney🙏
Good point, Rob, you cannot go wrong with a tufted titmouse!🤣

Thanks, Sandy! It really is, I'm often amazed at how many things I can do from a distance these days :)

What an absolutely beautiful moment to witness, Jacqueline, thank you for sharing 💕 I, too, believe these are gifts from a loving God.

Thank you, Noel! I agree, honestly, I'm pretty sure we'll sell it. I just can't imagine living there and it seems like it's only going to get worse.
Beautiful story on many levels, Sydney! Thank you once again!! ❤️😊
Thanks so much, Brian, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Sydney, this had me grinning!! The “Carbon Monoxide Alarm” mix-up is too funny!
