So glad I was able to share it with you, Elizabeth! Our family discovered them for the first time when we moved to Maine, and it's just magical watching the crystal formations grow across the bubble.
beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!! Sydney...I wonder if you are aware of Masaru Emoto's book The Hidden Messages In Water. Your bubble and water images reminded me of his work...about the emotion held in water. Thank you for your stunning work Sydney.
Thank you so much, Ian! I hadn't heard of that book before - thank you for sharing. There are so many lessons written within the structures of the natural world around us :)
These images are dazzling I noticd that a lot of spectacular images occur during sunrises and sunsets, at beginnings and at ends, when the light is low.
Thank you, Perry! And you're so right - they don't call them golden hours for nothing! It's rich with metaphor, too, the unique qualities of first and last light. Enough to turn your thoughts around for a lifetime :)
Yay, Wendy, I'm so happy to hear that! Winter holds some really special gifts - to be enjoyed in small doses of cold with plenty of cozy warming between 🤣💕
Thanks for making me think. Again. You're always making me think, Sydney! 😆
For some reason, as you wrote about the tilting and revolving of the earth, I suddenly realized that things like winter, falling leaves, ice crystals, the seasons themselves; these all came into existence only as a response to that tilt, that spin, that revolution. Imagine that! That tree outside and all of its natural behavior came into existence, evolved into what it is now, only after the potential for "tree" somehow collaborated with the earth's already existing behavior, shaping itself accordingly.
So fun to think about, Don! I agree, I am always fascinated by the way our genetic coding allows for such adaptability to all the niches and changing conditions of the world.
It really hit me one day when I was learning about those little seaweeds that have all the air bladders. It turns out that, based on where they end up anchoring, they will grow more or fewer bladders based on exactly how the tides run in their location. Like, as they are growing, they assess their environment and adapt their growth pattern accordingly 😳 Can you imagine if humans could engineer products that did that?
My mind was blown - and that made me really laugh, because I was just sitting there on the beach, looking at seaweed 🤣
So beautiful. The frozen bubble is absolutely amazing; I have to look at it again and again.
I often think how lucky we are to live in a place with proper seasons. There is always something "new". If life treats you badly, you still always have something to look forward to because you know the seasons will change.
Thanks so much, Neil! It really was surreal - it only lasted a few minutes, and we were just standing there like, "Oh my gosh, are you seeing this?" :)
Your houses would be better built for it. And you’d have the right clothing. Definitely helps. They always say there’s no bad weather only bad clothing, or something like that. (The thought of being out in a blizzard or cyclone is absolutely terrifying, no matter what you’re wearing.)
whoa, i've never seen a frozen bubble before! You're right about the seasons, they make us appreciate the changing earth.

That frozen bubble is stunning! What a fantastic photo!
Thank you so much, Sarah!

Beautiful Sydney. I've never seen a glitter sky and am now impatient for snow flurries.
Thank you so much, Sandra! Wishing you glitter skies - and all the other wonders that come with flurries ❄️🩵
You've brought me to loving this season more than dreading the COLD of it! Thank you for a beautiful post and incredible pictures!
Many blessings and MUCH LOVE,
~Wendy💜✨❄

Wow! Just, Wow!
Amazing captures—such wonderful details and light

Such a great quote, Amie, thanks for sharing!

Wow, I think I know the seaweed you’re talking about, and I’ve never known anything about it at all! That’s fascinating
your ability to teleport me into a world so different than my current surroundings is what I'm so grateful for today! GORGEOUS!
Thank you so much, Mohika! I am such a fan of nature teleportation 💕

Thank you so much, Hannah! I agree, seasons really resonate and can be such a comfort 💕
Just beautiful images, Sydney. I really like the snowfall and sky images - surreal!

Frozen bubbles, I'm in ❤️.
Wow. Blows my mind at how awesome these photos are 💫
Thanks so much, Teyani!💕
Such a different world! Beautiful but cold. Brrrrrr. 🤗🍁❄️
So, so cold sometimes 🤣 We like it, though :)

So true. We have a wood stove and a snug little house, tons of layers and knit wool hats 🤣 Once you’re all equipped for it, it’s lots of fun!
Thanks for that reminder that nature truly is magical, and for the wonderful pictures, Sydney!
Thank you, Diana, so happy to share a little magic with you! 💕
