Have you read The Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters? It’s set in the blueberry barrens along Route 9. I live across the border in St Andrews, New Brunswick and we drive that way often, the barrens truly are gorgeous in all seasons.

Hi, Cid! No I haven't - though after reading a review, I think it must be achingly lovely. St Andrews looks like an amazing location - do you travel here mainly for work or recreation?

It’s our route back to Ontario where our family is. We cross the border at Calais, head to Bangor then west to Sugarloaf and north again where we cross back into Quebec. It cuts two hours off the trip and we love Maine, we lived in Kennebunkport 30 years ago.
