Book Moments: God Breathed, Part 9
daily meditations, inspired by moments in nature
I am so sorry for being late this week! My days got away from me somehow, and Thursday had come and gone without me noticing! 🤣
Book Moments is a serialized project for my paid community, featuring weekly installments of my published works, along with bonus notes & commentary. At the conclusion of each series, a full .pdf version will be available for download. If you’d rather not spread things out week-by-week, print and ebook versions are always available for purchase through Amazon.
I enjoy sharing moments of nature connection because I believe that nature connection is, very simply, good for everyone, all the time :) But I also experience nature through the lens of my faith, and so I also enjoy sharing the ways in which nature connections illustrate eternal truths. God Breathed is a collection of seventy moments from creation, paired with devotional thoughts, designed to remind each of us to be inspired by the wonder of the world around us, all the time.
Each weekly newsletter in the God Breathed series will feature seven devotionals ~ one devotional available to all readers, and six more devotionals available to paid subscribers. At the conclusion of the series, a full-length .pdf version will be available for download. May you find inspiration in the daily tapestry of a world whose beauty is always interwoven with eternal truths!
THE DESERT BLOOMS
The wilderness and the land will be glad; the desert will rejoice and blossom like a rose. (Isaiah 35:1, BSB)
It does, of course. We’ve all seen it. A barren desert bursts into bloom, all-the-more breathtaking because it is so sudden, such a contrast, and so fleeting. These blooms remind us that anything is possible, that beauty may spring from entire desolation. More than that, they remind us that as long as there have been deserts, God has always been in the business of making them bloom!
